The Relation between Abductive Hypotheses and Inductive Hypotheses

In the AI eld, abduction is used for design, diagnosis and other tasks. This is because abduction is a sort of predictive inference. On the other hand, induction is used for classiication. For example, ILP nds greater tendencies in examples and learns general rules from the examples and background knowledge. Recently, the integration of abduction and induction has become a hot issue. In this paper, rst, I show the relationship between abductive hypotheses and inductive hypotheses, then I present a solution for integration of abduction and induction.
